First Year

Here is the curriculum for the First Year students at the Grace Baptist Bible Institute:

Life of Christ

An interweaving of the four Gospels to present a chronological study of the birth, life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Missions and Evangelism

This class gives a background study of both the history and practice of Foreign Mission work and prepares the student for and puts into practice personal soul-winning.

Theology I

An in-depth study of the doctrines of the Scriptures, God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and man.

Old Testament Survey

A broad overview of each of teh books of the Old Testament.

Practical Pastoring

A study of the practical aspects of the Pastorate, including such subjects as weddings, funerals, hospital visitation, shut-in visitation, baptism, the observance of the Lord’s Supper, Vacation Bible School, revivals, etc.

Homiletics

This is a study of the preparation of the man, the preparation of the message (the various kinds of sermons and Sunday School lessons) and then a classroom presentation of the message.
